Air India

Founded in 1932, Air India is India's national flag carrier with a worldwide network of passenger and cargo services. The airline connects 95 destinations around Africa, Asia, Europe and North America and its main bases are in Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai. In the UK, Air India serves Birmingham and London Heathrow airports. Other European routes are to Germany's Frankfurt, and Paris.

The Air India fleet consists of around 120 aircraft, with 100 more to be added by 2012. In recent years it has been significantly upgrading in-flight standards including d'cor, in-flight entertainment, seats and crew uniforms.

Air India has five airport lounges worldwide ' 'Maharajah Lounges' or 'King's Lounges' ' one of which is at London's Heathrow airport.
