Launched in 1985, Dubai-based Emirates now operates over 100 aircraft. Emirates and its codeshare partners fly to around 90 destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, the US and South America.
From the UK, Emirates flies direct from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester to Dubai. Emirates' recent awards include Best Scheduled Airline to the Middle East/Far East 2007 (Travel Weekly Globe Awards) and Best Airline for Flights to the Middle East 2007 (Executive Travel Magazine).
All of its aircraft offer in-flight entertainment including video channels with new movies, classic films, World Movies and a variety of TV programmes.
