Olympic Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Greece, and operates out of Athens. It offers services to 39 worldwide routes and 35 domestic destinations including the Greek islands, such as Mykonos, Santorini, Corfu, Crete, Samos and Rhodes.
The airline's main base is Athens International Airport, with a hub at Thessaloniki International Airport in Macedonia. Although its logo resembles that of the Olympic Games, the airline is not named after the international sporting event dating back to ancient Greece, but rather after the Twelve Olympians: the group of gods and goddesses in Greek mythology, who lived on Mount Olympus.
