Virgin Atlantic Airlines is part of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin group (which holds a 51% share) and Singapore Airlines (49% share). It operates worldwide routes from its main bases at London Heathrow and London Gatwick to dozens of destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

The Virgin Atlantic airlines classes are Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class (Business class).

As befits the airline that pioneered seat-back personal TVs, Virgin Atlantic offers audio/video on demand on many flights, although 'looped' entertainment can still be found on craft with older systems.
