Geneva car hire

Perched aside tranquil Lake Geneva, Switzerland's second largest city makes a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding lake and mountainside areas. Nearby cities and villages worth visiting include Lausanne, picturesque Annecy in France, Gruyeres (of cheese fame) and Montreaux, which hosts its world famous jazz festival every July.

In winter, it's easy to fly into Geneva and then head by road to one of the many ski resorts nearby (although you may need chains and snow tyres). Driving in Geneva itself, roads are usually not congested, although traffic speeds can be quite slow in some parts such as the Old Town.
